Your gardens in England are a gardener's dream. It's wonderful that you are able to go and take so many beautiful pictures and and are willing to share them with us. It must take tremendous amount of time to do all this and then get them fit for post.

I would like to say how proud I am to have such two of my best friends if I may call you that say something like that. Nancy and Cherie you have kept me going through hard times, and I shall keep going although it is almost like winter at the moment here. I love you to see our little island and just some of the beauty it has. Cherie as I told you going up to Norfolk we found a thatched pub, although most of the tiny village had thatched roofs as well.
Nancy behind the pub was an 11th century church so despite a gale blowing I had to go and see it. Built in the early 1049 it sits there proud, and yes it has a thatched roof!
I know I can be a pain as I am so proud of my country, but ladies when you have a steak and onion pie with mashed potatoes and broccoli in a pub that goes back to 1587 why shouldn't I be! I would have been over the moon if you two were with me as well. Even the pub had a walled garden where the vegetables came from, totally beautiful.

An old pub/house, definitely no castles are a little newer here. In Florida, a historic home would be dated about 1920.
