@Boopaints Great Murals....I love the last one and was trying to come up with something for these grey block fences and that would be great...what type of paints do you use for block? I am not an artist but maybe I could find stencils or something! Thanks for any help!

Hi Carla! I see you're from my neck of the woods. :)

I used acrylic patio paints on this and it looked great for about 4 years. It did fade eventually because it was facing west, but the homeowners loved it - they felt it made it look like an old structure.

:) I have also used regular quality acrylics on exterior murals (delta ceramcoat is one) but never use cheap paint because it's watered down.

Hi Becky! I was born in Phoenix...many years ago, but have only been back in the Valley for 7 years. I left for 25 years and lived in Washington. Our family and all but one grandchild was here so we came back. I do believe it is hotter than it was when I was younger!

I wish I was as talented as you but I figure I could do better than grey block!!! I am thinking of a beige or white background with flowers and maybe a peace sign thrown in for good measure!

Carla, I was born here too and I never recall this horrid heat. But I was never this old either.

I like the idea of a white wall best because it will make the colors pop. This kind of shows how the colors stand out.

One thing you can do is find a greeting card or fabric you like and copy it.

One man ( or woman's ) simple is another's impossible! Ha!

Decisions, decisions...I like that last one too!!! And I am glad you showed me the white background, I think that is the way I will go! I sure am not doing this in the summer, it will have to wait until it cools off in the mornings, like October...lol

I am excited to see your work, it is very inspiring and as I say anything will be better than a grey block wall!!!

If you have more flower pictures and some extra time I would love seeing more, my husband and one of my sons can draw and are very good at it but it is a wasted talent because now they don't use it. I did not even know my husband could draw until my son took art in Junior High. I can draw stick people and the basic hippie flower if I try real hard...

Before you look at it, know that nothing has been posted in a couple of years. The people that developed it for me did it as an example for future clients of theirs.

I have literally thousands of images but most are hard copies, before I had a digital camera.

Not a mural, but I had a topiary stencil that I used on the back side of the house. I did it in blues, reds and greens. I think it turned out very good and has lasted for several years. Getting the house painted now, so it will be covered over. It was easy and fun.

@Zazinnia...show me pictures before you paint over it please!
