1. How do you comment on a photo?
2. I just posted photo of streptocarpus Telma. Noted there is place to enter parents. I think for a lot of plants (day lilies, iris and even streptocarpus) it would be informative to post the name of the hybridizer.

If you select the photo from those provided for the cultivar, then scroll down below all photos, there is a space to provide comments regarding a specific photo.

I agree, it would be a useful option to have a hybridizer field for each cultivar. Probably for most entries it would be blank but for a lot of plants, it would be a welcome addition. For some plants, an alternate field might be the company that introduced the plant. Many annuals, coleus and heucheras for example would fit into this category: Ball Horticultural, Proven Winners, Terra Nova all introduce many cultivars without mention of the hybridizer.

I would also find it relevant to have a space for the year of introduction of the plant. It could help to narrow down the options for finding a name for some of my older plants.

Thank you for bringing up this topic. Smiling

Your suggestion regarding year of introduciton is a good one, especially for plants like hemerocallis and iris.

The Hemerocallis and Iris entries already list the year of introduction. They also list the hybridizer, as do the Rosa and Sempervivum entries and many others.
