This is the only white-centred member of the "Mouse Ears" that has not reverted to solid blue for me. But I've only had it for 2 years. Time will tell, I guess, if it remains, but so far it looks good. Please feel free to post your own photos of this hosta.

Nice little hosta! Mine is struggling so I'll just enjoy your pictures of this one. If it doesn't return this year I may replace it. I'm replacing Trifecta this year but will watch to see if my Pure Heart returns.

I personally feel that the "mouse ears" family is highly overrated with the exceptions of 'Blue Mouse Ears' and maybe 'Church Mouse' (though CM is still too new to me to be sure). Too many of this unstable family revert to solid blue and too many of them look too much alike. With the exception of 'Pure Heart' above, all of my white(or light)-centred ones have turned solid blue. In general the sports, even after reverting don't grow as well as BME. I'm gradually losing all the streaking in 'Royal Mouse Ears' and I can't really tell the difference between 'Frosted Mouse Ears' and 'Mighty Mouse'. One I have with my "mouse ears" family, but which is from a different family, is 'Country Mouse'. It's a good little grower and really cute.

'Country Mouse' at the end of July - different family

Thank you. It looks as though I've got 9 more days of 3 hostas daily to catch up with those I posted elsewhere and then just one a day. Sticking tongue out By that time, we might be seeing our real hostas, though mine are still under at least a foot of snow. However, that snow is starting to go fast. Hurray!

I've seen some of mine poking through. I'm not ready for them yet, but it looks like they don't care!

Ann I agree with you on the BME sports statement. I have Country Mouse and it is a favorite mini.
