And you can't claim that milkweed pod Christmas wreath that you made last year, either, Larry. I already used that in an article and I'll tell.

Hi ya Larry! There's plenty of time. Mine took a whopping 30 minutes.

Debbie, you can do it maybe if your brain gets out of shut down mode. Big Grin

Heh.
Larry. How can I remember to make you feel welcome since I see you so often wherever I go? Y'all have to excuse us. Larry and I have been best friends since childhood, truth is we were probably separated at birth. But he's a whole lot older than I am. A whole lot taller too. And believe me, he is so very artistic! This is not the thread for it, but Larry, you really should do a tutorial for these ladies on flower pounding. Amazing.

Larry will give you girls a run for your money. He is very talented and artistic. He does also give demos, so may already even have pictures or videos for you. He is very helpful and shares his knowledge. His and Wilma's gardens are to die for as well.

Good morning everyone!

Tee & Becky: I see you two have finished your wreath's already ... great job. I sure wish I had some of your artistic brain power, my wreaths are always just using a pre-made grapevine wreath with silk flowers, sometimes a few dried pod things, and ribbon ... all store bought items that I just wire together. I used to make a wreath for every season but haven't done one in a couple of years now. I'm not joining the contest but hope to find the time to make a wreath this coming week, although with temp's still in the 90's it's hard to think "autumn"!

Larry: Welcome! I'd love to see pictures of some of your flower pounding art. I read an article on DG a few years ago about Flower Pounding, maybe it was one of your articles? It sure is an interesting art and sounds like fun ... one can take out their frustrations by pounding flowers with a hammer and create beautiful art at the same time! Smiling

Becky: Maybe "Flower Pounding" could be a group project sometime. I've never tried the Flower Pounding but may just have to get out a hammer and start pounding! Check out some of these pictures: http://www.google.com/search?q...

It's like pressed flowers, only this time a hammer is used.

Hi everyone! I'm in Western New York visiting my family so haven't been on much (they are keeping me busy!). Becky, LOVE your wreath, just the way it is! I'll be flying home very early Monday morning, so I'll have to post mine sometime Sunday... are we waiting until midnight? (That'll be 2 a.m. for me...). If so, I could send a pic to you Becky and you could post for me, or if it will be during the day on Sunday I should be good to get it on here. Let me know. Can't wait to see everyone's wreaths!

I was freezing, Vic. Absolutely an icicle.
But I loved every single minute of that trip in May.

I think maybe Kathleen did an article one time about flower pounding, but I've also seen one that Larry did too.

CJ, were you at the gathering I attended in Iowa??
