This is one of my favourites and it's the 2016 "Hosta of the Year". It's registered as a mini, but mine didn't get the message. It's lutescent, getting more yellow as the season progresses. Mine was grown in full sun in 2015 due to the loss of a tree and it thrived. Please feel free to post your own pictures of this hosta.

This is one that I just can't get excited about. I have a few in different locations. The one that gets a lot of sun was almost bleached white in the late summer. I don't remember it burning, but lost a lot of its color. I put Dragon Tails higher on my list of favorite small yellows.

My 'Curly Fries' is a LOT larger than my 'Dragon Tails' and the entire shape of the mound is different. I enjoy them both, but I don't think they can really be compared. Since we are in similar zones, I wonder why yours don't excite you. It IS supposed to turn whiter/more yellow during the season, of course. I have mine where I can easily see it every time I park on my driveway in summer and I've really enjoyed seeing it there.

May be because I thought it stayed a brighter yellow... It also gets a lot bigger than I thought it was supposed to. I'll pay closer attention to it this year and see if it grabs my attention.

2016 update - Aug. 5 and blooming Aug. 21. Second summer of being grown in full sun and it thrived. Lots of growth on this one.

I agree Ann it is one of my favorites too. I just purchased it last summer and it was growing like a weed. I like it because it is different and adds to the shade garden as another texture .
I was surprised to find it so cheap.

My shade garden does not get any sun not even an hour. So it did not get that white color until Aug. Also because of the deep shade my blues stay blue, the white color makes the Heucheras color and the blues stand out. I love, love, love the white. I really love the white it adds to the shade. Did I say I love the white. Rolling on the floor laughing
