Any ideas on what this might be?
Also, I'm a little confused on Miltonia v. Miltoniopsis. Any info helps! Smiling

I don't grow the Miltonia/Miltoniopsis because they require cooler temperatures than I can supply in the spring/summer months. I think the two names are the same family of plants.

Welcome to ATP! Welcome!

Miltonia and Miltoniopsis used to all be considered Miltonia. Then someone figured out that although they are in the same Alliance (Oncidium), they are not the same Genus.

Some differences: Miltonia have two leaves per bulb and the bulbs are more rounded. The flower is a Miltonia flower.

Miltoniopsis has one leaf per bulb and the bulbs are more flattened. The flower looks like a pansy.

Although most people call both Miltonia and Miltoniopsis by the name Milonia, its important to know which one you have because the care is completely different.

So, if I understand correctly, my plant is a Miltonia?

That's interesting information. Good ole RHS. The vendors' sites that I visited use the two words interchangeably. What's the difference in care? As I say, I don't grow them.

I didn't hazard a guess because I can only see the flowers.
