Thanks Jolana. I'm glad no one was hurt but seeing my plants in that condition is really upsetting.

Carzy bad stuff finally came to Houston very early this morning. I have yet to inspect for damages. Crossing my fingers! ( We need that icon @Dave. Oftentimes, gardening us all about jeeping our fingers crossed. )

Cheryl I hope your plants didn't get damaged? I think I would have cried if my houseplants were torn to shreds. I was so tempted to bring a few out so I'm glad I thought twice about it. Thumbs up

I'm a little south of Kingwood and we are OK. I had close to an inch of rain (which was needed), but no hail or high wind. Electricity was out in a few places and caused traffic light problems and a mess for the morning commuters.

I'm glad you're ok Sondra. Thumbs up I think we had some ping pong ball sized hail mixed in with the quarter and half dollar size hail? I think that's what caused the big holes in the siding? I got two new plants today so that took my mind off of the damage, a mother of millions and a clematis pitcheri. Hurray!

Hail is always my worry with these bad storms....glad everyone is ok. We got strong winds and rain but nothing more here. At least this time my GH stayed put instead of launching into the next county like last time.

After this storm I'm going to be more cautious when it comes to bringing my plants outside for Spring. I can't believe your greenhouse was blown away Kim, that's terrible.

Yea...waking up to seeing it toppled over in the front yard was a shock. Luckily not too much damage though, so some clear gorilla tape, fence posts and cables, and we are back in business. So sorry about the hail damage...my parents got golf ball sized hail a couple years back that damaged the roof and broke their windshield on the truck.

Thanks Kim. I hope you didn't have any plants in it? My area usually misses out on large hail but not this time. This has been the worst hail storm I've been in. There are still a few little piles of hail in my yard. It's terrible your parents had roof damage and a broken windshield.

Cameron, I'm so sorry to see the damage you had. I hope you have good insurance to help with the damage to your home. It stormed here, but there wasn't a lot of damage and no hail.

Thanks Sandi. Someone is supposed to assess the damage next Wednesday. The car insurance is another story but things will get sorted out. Thumbs up I didn't think the storms would be that bad, but I was definitely wrong. Other parts of Plano got it much worse and the Walmart in Wylie had to close because all of the skylights were destroyed. My brother said every window in their greenhouse was shattered and while people were in it. I don't think anyone got hurt thankfully.

You'll be surprised at how your plants bounce back. We had a really bad hail storm here some years ago. I took lots of photos of my backyard that May before we left for a trip. Three months later, I compared those photos to the garden that now looked like there had never been a storm. Now our roof......well, that's another story!

No damage here, thankfully. I would have been surprised if there was as I barely heard thunder. But was told it was a crazy storm? I slept right through it! I am sorry for those that had damage. No fun dealing with our dear plants who had to get tossed around. But, yes, I think they will recover. Fingers crossed icon.

So sorry about the damage. We were lucky just have rain and wind. Cameron, if the roots of the clematis were not uprooted, it will still grow but just be delayed

@Bubbles You're right. Its just so hard to see it right now. I haven't even looked at the roof and I hate to think what type of damage there is up there. My mom was telling me my plants are tougher than me so they'll be fine Rolling on the floor laughing I'll just trim them back and make my flower beds a little neater.

@ShadyGreenThumb I'm glad you didn't have any damage. I tried sleeping through the storm but my wall was facing west where all of the damage to siding happened. I jumped out of my bed and ran to the other side of the house. Rolling on the floor laughing

@canadanna Thank you. Yesterday I tried propping up the last remaining clematis stem thinking that would help it a little, but this morning it was on the ground again.I have to try and add a little humor Hilarious!

This is long overdue but last Saturday I met with Debra ( @lovemyhouse ) She was so nice and sent me home with some plants since a lot of mine were damaged by the hail storm a couple of weeks ago. Pink Champagne clematis, Greek and Golden oregano, lemon and Orange Balsam thyme, Apple Blossom yarrow, Irene and Arp rosemary cuttings, and three types of bearded irises. I really appreciate it and they're all doing well. Thumbs up
