Jolana, you are one of the most resiliant people I know. You are so upbeat, it's hard to be grumpy or down around you! You have met a life changing illness head on. You have a quick wit and I have so enjoyed meeting you and being your friend....except for the time I fell over the wire rail in the Seguin park and you laughed at me...lying on the ground...holding my salad above my head...as I slid across the mud, grass, and ground lillies. Whistling

Sandi, I'm sorry but I had to laugh your Seguin Park comment Rolling on the floor laughing I've slipped tons of times in my garden and in public areas because I'm naturally a clumsy person Hilarious! I always have to look around to make sure no one saw me slip or fall.

Jolana it's amazing you've been through a life changing illness, you're definitely more resilient than a lot of people. I've never been through a life changing illness but I had open heart surgery when I was 1. I'm still a bit of a baby when it comes to aches and pains and I always have some type of small injury when I work out in my garden, the latest was being covered from head to toe with prickly pear needles and I was picking them up with a shovel, so I don't know how that happened? Hilarious!

HAHAHA, that is a visual, worthy of winning on America's Funniest home videos
When I was in my teens, I had a friend visiting and she wanted to go riding but didn't want to ride on a horse alone, I told her she could ride with me but she would have to take her charm bracelet off (I knew she would end up spooking Bomber) She wouldn't and during the ride, she tried to adjust herself and one of the charms must have poked Bomber and he reared up, she fell off his rear and then he threw me right into a cactus, but it spines were just on my backside
He had been rescued from a person that spurred him hard enough to leave scars on his near and off side. Needless to say, I never took her riding again nodding

Sandi, was looking around and didn't think the wire was that high and I'm glad she didn't get hurt but that story will make us smile and laugh forever, HAHAHAHA

Oh gosh that's terrible but a little funny at the same time. Rolling on the floor laughing The cactus was in the right place at the right time Hilarious! Poor Bomber, I can't believe the previous person spurred him that hard. I'm glad you weren't seriously hurt from that, but I couldn't imagine the pain the spines caused you.
Several years ago I had a shovel in my shed that I stepped on and the handle got me right in the face. I literally saw stars when it got me lol. I had a large knot right above my right eye so it was a painful and embarrassing reminder. Hilarious!

Okay, you two, laugh at the old person!

Cameron, those cactus have little teeny spines around the main spine. Those are the ones that disconnect when you move the plant. Someone offered me Teddy Bear Cactus when we lived in Tucson. I had to dig them, though. I moved quite a few to the trunk of my car. I had to be at a baby shower a couple of hours later. I was miserable. I itched all over. Finally, someone at the shower asked me f I had been around cactus. Said all those tiny "fuzzy" slivers around the main spines probably penetrated my t-shirt and shorts. She told me to use duct tape to get them off and out! It "mostly" worked.

HAHAHA, oh, we typed that out loud! Sorry Sandi, I forgot you could hear us
We love ya!
Who's old? Not you

Those spines are horrible, we have used duct tape and Elmer's glue, that is not quick tho. You have to be desperate for that

Cameron that actually sounds like a cartoon scene Rolling on the floor laughing

Sorry Sandi Rolling on the floor laughing
I'd rather deal with the prickly pears with the large spines than those little teeny spines because they're a pain to get out. I tried duct tape and scraping my hands with steel wool and that got a few of them out but for days I had to deal with one or two little spines. I always tend to rub them the wrong way and it just sends a shockwave all over my body because it's painful. I got mine from a friend near Decatur and he said I'd regret planting them. I just laughed and said they're too pretty to hate, but now I regret ever planting them because I can't pull weeds around them. I just dug up as many as I could and threw them in the tree line Hilarious!

Jolana I'm just thankful no one was around to see that happen. My parents had a good laugh when I told them and when they saw the large knot on my head Hilarious!

Anna I'm glad I'm not the only one that's happened too, I don't feel as embarrassed now. Hilarious!

I shouldn't laugh at anyone. I have tripped on flat asphalt before. My rubber soled shoes gripped and stopped my foot and I stumbled. People looked at me like they thought I was drinking, Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing
