Jolana I've done the same thing several times. Sometimes my feet just randomly turn sideways and I trip but I think a lot of times it's either the sandals I'm wearing or my clumsiness.

I would start the sedum in a pot with well draining soil and keep in part sun so you can move it if you need to.
I want some friends like you!!!
Ligularia sometimes attracts slugs.I put egg shells around it and seems to work.
I never seem to be able to keep Agastache alive , so can't give any advice...

I'm I'll get some sand or gravel to add to some potting mix for the sedums. I have an area that gets morning and early afternoon sun and shade the rest of the day. I'll also start collecting eggshells to keep the slugs away. I had an issue with them last year when we had all that rain in spring. I'm nervous about the agastache. I have some agastache cana seedlings that are doing well so far, but I have them in amended clay with some mulch mixed in.

I definitely appreciate my friend sending me some neat plants. I'm just afraid I'll kill them because I've never grown any of them before, well I've grown sedum but for the most those are almost carefree. Hilarious!

Yes, I think I even have a start of dazzelbery that has survived and is growing slowly.
The ones that need shade and moist soil would be the biggest challenge for me. I sometimes add vermiculite to the hole along with compost.

The ones that need lots of moisture are going to definitely be a challenge. My shade garden has three large cedars that have roots everywhere. I'll add compost and vermiculite and I'll get some cedar mulch too. Thumbs up

Just my opinion, but in an area where I wanted shady, moist conditions, I would use finely ground pine park mulch instead of cedar mulch. The pine bark will break down faster and enrich the soil.

I didn't know that Sondra. Thanks for telling me that. The soil definitely needs plenty of enriching. Thumbs up

Wow I like your new profile name. Hurray! I really like frogs but I've only seen a couple in my garden last year when we had abundant rain.
