We love to talk about all aspects of weather, the effect on our gardens, and on our lives. It's a good place to keep a record of weather in our gardens from year to year too, so for that reason let's stay as close to the topic as we can. Please join us and tell us about your weather.

Even though today's morning temp is only 17f, it is the first day of Spring! Last year the peepers started peeping on April 18th, haven't heard any yet. When will they start this year.. after our unusually warm winter and earlier than normal warm up?

We came from the Winter 2015/2016 thread which can be found here....
The thread "Weather In Your Garden ~ Winter 2015/2016 (Closed)" in Daylilies forum

When I started the Winter 2015/2016 thread it was Dec 21st and I was running around outside in a sweatshirt...I'm still running around outside in my sweatshirt! With only 3 days of really cold temps the winter coat spent most of the winter in the closet.

29 degrees this morning in Northern Ky.
At least the sun is out and should warm it up some - today is our city's Easter egg hunt for the little ones.

The rain has stopped but it is still cloudy with a little sun peeking through.
Any day you wake up on the sunny side of the grass is a good day.

They are calling for a high of 78F. There is no rain in the forecast. I think it is done until next fall.

A cool 38 and sunny this morning, but it will only last for a couple of days, then back to a normal spring with highs in the 70s and lows in the 60s.

Spring? What is that? It's 0C (32F) here at 11 am. Christmas Eve it was 17C (63F), and Christmas Day it was 9C (48F). We have snow forecast for later this week. Sighing!

They are calling for a high of 71F today. Yay! It is cloudy right now. That will help keep the temperature down.

Oh whine - just got a weather alert that we are to get a small amount of snow on Tuesday night and then it's to be followed by a winter storm from Colorado with "significant amounts of precipitation". I suppose on the bright side at least there is no snow on the ground currently - but not for long it seems.

Blinking I jinxed us!!!! Spring thread...maybe I should just go back and unlock the winter thread Sighing! Kelli and Linda need a Summer thread.....at least we're all in this craziness together Smiling

We were clipped by the nor'easter this morning with blowing flurries. Warmed up this afternoon to low 40's with sun, went out and worked in the garden anyhow. I've heard everything from "measurable snow" to "snow squalls and flurries" for later in the week....
