Spent the last two hours putting fertilizer on my plumeria patch. They have no excuse not to bloom now. Hilarious!

I went for a walk today. Along the way, a woman in a car stopped us. She said that she's been seeing us walking and wanted to tell me that I was looking good.

That's wonderful Kelli! People are noticing.

I made it to the gym but took it pretty easy. After about half an hour, I went into the pool and whirlpool for about 45 minutes. It doesn't seem to have helped my leg much. That calf is as hard as a rock.

Frank, how are you? I hope you're feeling OK.

Karen, I hope your leg gets better soon. I had a cramp in my calf muscle last night, sure glad it didn't last too long.

After that happens to me, It stays really painful for usually 4 or 5 days. It's so bad, I can't walk without limping. It's a beautiful day and I'd love to do some yard work, but I can't do anything. Sad I'm just miserable.

Karen - are you getting enough potassium? If it's that painful you might find therapeutic massage helpful. I hope it feels better soon.

Thanks, Ann. Yes, I had my labs done a week or two ago and everything, including potassium, was normal. Thanks. Massage does help some, and I've had professional massage for this in the past. But with or without, it always takes several days, sometimes almost a week, to resolve.

And my husband is a pretty good masseuse, and he's much cheaper! He's been massaging the leg for me several times a day, and I'm doing the stretches that the doctor gave me...

Karen, do you know why you get these cramps ? It sounds kind of awful.
I'd rather weed than dust ... the weeds stay gone longer.

Not really. Probably related to flattening of my feet, for which I recently got orthotics. Might also be a side effect of medications, though I don't know. But if you research it, it seems that a lot of people over 50 suffer from them.

@kqcrna, I will pass this information along regarding leg cramps in case it may be of help to you. My DH has been a patient at Mayo Clinic for two years. He was there last week and he mentioned getting leg cramps sometimes and was reminded that they had told us pickle juice just two or three ounces can help. They said that atheletes had discovered this and that it does help. My DH has not had cramps again, but we will keep it in mind if it happens again.

I will say this again. I used to get keg cramps. Not as bad as Karen's but bad enough. I walk about 3 miles a day and then in the evening it would happen.

I started taking Cell Salts and now it never happens. Months now I have been walking more than ever and taking the Cell Salts each day and no leg cramps.

These are an all natural homeopathic remedy that restores the natural balance in the body's cells.

From the bottle--
Hyland's Bioplasma
A combination pf 12 mineral cell salts vital to cellular health and function.

Thanks for the info Rita, but my DH can't take anything that Mayo Clinic has not approved since his stemcell transplant. I asked about a supplement that I take, if he could also take it they said no. Guess they recommend the pickle juice to their patients because they consider it safe to try.

I never heard the pickle juice recommendation before but I think it would be worth a try! Thumbs up
