About 99% of my house plants get summer vacation outdoors. My dad who's 92 in a nursing home once told me that the main thing he missed was looking forward to summer vacation. Anyways, when I bring the plants back inside I have to check them for pests, bugs and Tree Frogs. I usually find 6 - 9 frogs before I move them inside but I always miss some. So most times in the Fall while there is still time to return them to the wild, I can find the few I missed because they do make noises. The record was 2 winters ago when on New Year's Day I found a Tree Frog sitting on my desk. How he survived I do not know. Well, now a new record. Friday I was working on my computer when (you guessed it) a Tree Frog jumped onto my keyboard. Surprise! Too cold out yet to throw him out so I just kind of ignored him for now. Gene

LOL, that is pretty cool ... I'd probably have had a heart attack if one hopped onto my keyboard unexpectedly! It's interesting that frogs and other amphibians can survive frigid winters, even Alaskan winters ... Mother Nature sure is amazing! Some interesting reading about it here:

I was clearing out the greenhouse and found a tree frog up against the wall while I was using the blower. I have never seen one in the gh but it's a good place to be! I see way more Leopard Frogs then I do Tree Frogs these days.

UPDATE !! Moving plants outside for the summer (finally.) And I found my Tree Frog alive (and I hope well) in the pot of one of my Philodendron Giganteums. Yeah. Made my heart feel good. What he ate all this time is beyond me. I did give him some water when I saw him. Too warm inside for him to hibernate, I assume. Amazing. Made my day. Gene
