I need to repot these baby AV I think. I can't find any plastic pots smaller than the ones pictured. The decorative dixie cup is waxy paper so I don't see it holding up for a long time. And I think the yogurt cup might be too shallow. What about clay pots? I've seen them in smaller sizes but wouldn't I have to water more? I'm also thinking of experimenting with wicking. I've also seen clear plastic solo cups that might work. Opinions?????

When you re-pot your violets, the pots should be 1/3 smaller than the width of the plant. ie: if the leaves are 9 inches across, then the pot would be a 3" pot. It you put them in a pot that is too big, they will receive too much moisture. You potting mix should be light also. I use MG African Violet mix with same amount of perlite. This makes the mix light and airy. I have a Keurig coffee pot, so I save all those little cups and use them for the smaller violets or for setting leaves.
The pots that those violets are in are perfect for them for the time being. When they get much bigger then you can repot them. Also they should be repotted about every 6-8 months with fresh mix. Hope this helps. I'm attaching a picture that shows two little violets in their small little keurig pots. They were grown from leaves and now are starting to bloom. If you loo kclose you can see their bud. LOL
