As a comment about Trumpet Daffodil (Narcissus 'Classic Garden'), Marilyn wrote:

If this is suppose to be a daffodil that is golden yellow with a bright orange trumpet, then is it suppose to age to a bright orange trumpet or what?!

The fall of 2015 I got 5 bulbs from Brent & Becky's and was looking forward to seeing the flowers bloom a bright orange (or a brilliant orange color) trumpet with the golden yellow, but I haven't seen it yet. The first bloom was 3/17 and I'm still looking and waiting for it. Today (3/21), I just looked at the Classic Garden daffodils in my garden, took pics and they still look the same coloring, as on 3/17. I'd read that it is suppose to more sun proof than most bicolors also.

I like the daffodils, but I got them because of the description(s) I read, which was first in the fall of 2014 at John Scheepers and then at Brent & Becky's in 2015.

not sure what your complaint is here...from the pics you have posted, this flower seems to match the description from B&B's that Jim posted perfectly...to me, from your pics, they look golden yellow with bright orange trumpets...

The trumpets are not bright orange and/or brilliant orange in color.

The trumpets are not completely orange all the way from end to end, at least since 3/17 when the first one bloomed.

Maybe they'll age to that.

In this picture...

that trumpet, to me, is a brilliant orange for a daff. Also, to my eyes, that trumpet appears to be orange from end to end. I'm just giving my opinion here, I'm trying to see it for what you are describing but I just don't see it.

Thanks. I was hoping it would be a bright orange or brilliant orange color. Maybe it is my 60 year old eyes looking at them.
