Mom let my sister and I stay up and watch Alfred Hitchcock, but said not to wake her if we had bad dreams. Well, I dreamed we were taking a bath and she went down the drain. I think I woke with a scream on my lips that never happened and a racing heart. I did not call Mom.

I was TERRIFIED of flushing the bowl AND of shutting the light....of course there was hell to pay if both were not done...so I would flush...charge...hit that switch going out the door ...endure terror all the way down the hall...and then have to FLING myself through the air into bed as I entered the room (4 feet at least) ( because who KNOWS WHAT HALF DEAD CREATURE WAS WAITING TO GRAB MY FOOT and PULL ME INTO HELL)

I would take a FLYING leap and land smack on top of my sister...she would wake up and beat the crap outta me.

Toooo funny! I feel I escaped each bath with my life now. Good thing my sister and I were always in together. Hard to take down two at a time.
While in there we would replay the Dove commercials by putting soap on each others backs. The Dove side was all smooooth, but the other soapy side was all rougggghhhh.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned Saucy Walker. I had one of those dolls. She had her own website for a long time until the woman who owned the site died of breast cancer. Our childhood dolls can have such special memories for us.

I missed out on the original Barbie doll. Didn't know she's become such a valuable collector's item. I think I had Barbie #2.

I was trying to explain plastic bubbles to my granddaughter. My son said likely still available...but I do remember the odor and suspect foreign made and I don't trust the safety since touched in inhaled.

Yes the plastic bubbles are still available, got them for the kids for Christmas. They still smell the same

I loved the smell. Of course my mother regularly pulled me away from the bus stop...i could stay and smell the exhaust all day...I still love it.
