Hi all,

I know this is kind of an off the wall question. My grandmother collected Avon bottles once upon a time, there are all kinds, many still in their boxes. I think there are 4 good sized moving boxes worth in total, all full. When grandma passed away, my mom inherited them all, and now they are being stored in my garage. Any idea if these are worth keeping or selling? I haven't had time to do much research yet, but thought I'd see if anyone here is familiar with them. I'd love to recapture the space in the garage at some point.

Thanks! Kim

I googled and found a site called Kovels: https://www.kovels.com/?keyword=Avon+bottles&table_name=data... - listed as the go-to source for antiques and collectibles since 1953. I typed in Avon Bottles and got a list but it says you must create an account and sign in to see the prices. Angry Basic is Free Premium is $39 annually and Premium Plus is $59.88 anually! I have a feeling with the basic/free membership you won't get much help.

This site: http://collectibles.about.com/od/morecollectiblecategories/p... says Avon glass cologne decanters, jewelry, plates, dolls etc. are collectibles but have no value. I'd tend to disagree with that statement because some collectors will pay a pretty penny to add to their collection!

Here's a page with a bit of information about Avon bottles, etc. but no estimates of value: http://treasureandantiqueseeking.blogspot.com/2012/06/antiqu...

Looks like they aren't worth much...I did some searching on ebay. Which leaves me with the dilemma of how to get these out of my garage. Oh well.

I bet if you took them to a resale shop they would be happy to have them.
