When I was listening to the podcast there was something I want to point out. Dave, you were saying you like to save seeds so you always grow Heirlooms versus the Hybrids.

Buying lots of seeds myself this year so as to grow my own plants from seed I was very pleasantly surprised to find that there are some fantastic modern day hybridizers working and producing "modern" open pollinated varieties. I guess the main difference between these and heirlooms is time. So even though these are not heirlooms I should be able to save seeds.

Yes, I usually say "heirlooms or other open pollinated varieties." I am indeed aware of the interesting, new and exciting open pollinated varieties being released these days. Smiling
