Other than the guilt (Because we neglect the iris. Not all, but some. Like last year when half the beds should have been dug but weren't.)
We rationalize that we are saving water and helping with the drought. Or that we are not killing new iris. That helps a little.

I'm guilty because I have so many potted Iris to plant... But I'm still "out of my mind" because I keep buying them.
Now I need to go find out how many I ordered.

Oh heck Liz, as long as you're at 300, you should try for 400.. I didn't see an order for Iris City, Exline, Bluebird or many of the others that advertise in the AIS journal. Just sayin'

I'm back from caring for my parents and looking forward to getting time to work in my garden.

I have ordered only 16, though I know I'll add some to that. I've also got some trades planned...so I'm probably in the "good start" range.

Well, I am in the kid stuff category but I have a lot of emails to vendors checking on availability of some cultivars. If I can find them I will place an order. The local sale and the PNW sale, as well as trades, I hope will keep me insane.

I am small time compared to some. My wife got a guitar and I could make a couple of purchase. So I decided to get some irises. I still have a few I wanna get thought for the seanson.

Liz - not only do you have an impressively massive amount order - you also have made many vendors happy. That is a nice swath of vendors sharing your love.

My purchases and promised bonuses put me at 29 and so far trades about another 16 so I'm at A good start But I have a list for Blue J of at least 23 more when I can afford them and a few more trades to work out. I expect to be On or Over the Edge . And I think finances are going to improve and if so I am looking at Ghio's Surprise Packages.

I have purchased 3 this year from the Yarrabee Garden and Iris end of season sale. Our iris catalogs arrive in October/November and I usually acquire 2 or 3 from Tempo Two and sometimes one from ebay.

I am a bit shocked by the high numbers other people purchase. You must have spectacular gardens!

I'm just concerned about space at this point. I don't even want to show you guys my beds because each plant is only 8" apart at most right now. I'm trying to get creative with where to make new beds so I can space them out more. At this point I will never be able to have a decent clump of anything.
