Hilarious! Hilarious!

Glen - is it a rusty daylily? In the database it's rust susceptible. Looks cool though with the spikey fan. Hilarious!

Yes, Becky it is susceptible. But it is strange. I would not regard it as a rust bucket and usually it is quite rust free - but at the moment there has been a build up of many spores, which is a bit of a surprise to me.
The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.

Your comments on 'Admiral's Braid' sort of reminds me of 'Victorian Lace' in my garden, and "strange" is a good word in describing some of these plants. 'Victorian Lace' has upright spikey foliage that finally falls over at the top, a reputation for rust and it is susceptible here (as is a child plant, 'Because of You') - yet I have had far worse rust buckets and at the moment I think it is free of spores...
Evaluating an iris seedling, hopefully for rebloom

nwgds.org was the original site for the Northwest Georgia Daylily Society.
Unfortunately, the site underwent a major revision and URL change, and the link is defunct. More than likely it was an oversight. Their new site is nwgds.com. I left a message on the contact page requesting a new link to the article, explaining that I found links to the original on a few daylily hybridizer's websites. There's a chance that if NWGDS receives several requests they may make the article available again.

If anyone downloaded that .pdf and is willing to send a copy, please contact me.
