I dont know what to do. I cut the stem of my alocasia to reproduce it, the upper part with the leafs has roots but the other part has no roots and the buds dont grow, it started rot.
I cut the rotten parts out and put cinnamon as protection on it, i heard cinnamon helps for cuttings. The rotting stem part has no roots.
What should i do?

Propagation of Alocasia is ususally done by dividing the rhizomes. I'm not sure you can start one from a stem cutting. Does one of your pieces have a rhizome (a bulb that was under ground)? That is the part that will grow.

I divided the rhizome and the thing in the picture is the rhizome but it rots , the other part with the leafs has roots and grows.

Did it have only one rhizome and you cut it in half?

Hmmm... That might be the problem. You should have waited until there were more rhizomes. I suspect the bottom half is rotting because it is not the growth point.
