'Lovely Leila' is my own seedling from unknown sources, named after my second granddaughter. I used to know the source, but during its first winter, the squirrels moved all the markers around. It was sown in 2006 and it took me awhile to decide I really like it. Usually it emerges with the centre of the leaves much lighter in colour and they gradually mist up during the season. In 2015 it got more sun due to the loss of a tree and greened up much sooner than usual and was really crispy by the end of September.
