My son has Bandit Man in his garden. It thrives, despite the lack of care it receives. It blooms most of July here with little to no water and weeds snuggling up to it. I was not able to do weeding last year due to health issues. Warning: The following image is a hot mess. Smiling

I received 4-fans a year ago (Sept. 26, 2015) and they were potted up. The next month (October 2015) they were transplanted into a new raised bed. As of today, there is still only 4 fans. It has yet to bloom for me. The leaves are slender, short, and so far it is making a nice, compact clump. I hope to see blooms next year.

I bought Bandit Man from Don Stevens of Seawright Daylily Farm about 25 years ago. The plant is still huge and healthy despite years of neglect. It blooms throughout July prolifically. Obviously happy here in its home zone( Seawright was 20 minutes from me before they closed in 2013).

Bandit Man update. All the Daylilies had a great summer in 2021. They were cleaned, weeded and fed. The massive amounts of rain this summer really boosted growth. They did catch rust near the end of the summer but had a great season until then. Bandit Man is a giant happy clump.

2022… same production of flowers, despite heat and drought. Bandit Man bloomed prolifically from July 1-28, with waterfalls of bright happy flowers

2023 update…Bandit Man bloomed prolifically again from July 2- 23rd. Even though I took a few pieces from the clump for the NEDS club sale, you would never know. This one is pretty unstoppable.
