Pineapple top that I rooted in ground last summer, put in pot for winter, now back in ground for summer. With Kalanchoe fedtschenkoi leaves (that will make babies on the edges.) ETA: The variegated one does not make babies that survive, they have no chlorophyll.

I ran out of room for Euphorbia tirucalli individuals inside for winter & this one got left out. The taller stems got ruined but the roots & lower parts are still very much alive.

Same as the suspected Sedeveria from above. This Hatiora gaertneri (Easter cactus) didn't look right, so I didn't bring it in. It's been laying on the ground, bare-root & has some buds on it.

This winter was unusually mild for my location, the lowest temp all winter was about 23.

Stush, yes, if it ever stops raining! I've only just begun. I had to wait for some trees to leaf-out & make more shade. And I want to put some in a raised planter thing I'm building. (If I build it, they will come? LOL!)

Peperomia verticillata is SO happy! I put this little stem (about 6") tall in the ground around 3 mos ago & it's about tripled in size.

I am always amazed by your posts. Growing in the ground, what a concept, and you do it so well.

TYVM, Stush! I don't do much after they're planted but look around & check on what things look like, sprinkle some water if it doesn't rain for a while.

Kalanchoe pinnata is getting tall, almost 3 feet.


This was a tiny thing when I put it here in April. K. gastonis-bonnieri AKA donkey ears. With pencil plants (Euphorbia tirucalli) and ornamental purslane (Portulaca umbraticola.)
