That's exactly what happened with me and this Veriegated Teardrop Peperomia. I think it's a pretty color, and it's healthy with leaves coming up, but most days I look at it and......yawn. I'd like to re-purpose it somehow, maybe divide it or just present it in a more exciting way. If anyone has any ideas please share!

Daisy! Rolling on the floor laughing Hilarious! Rolling on the floor laughing

Alyssa, how about making it part of a mixed planter. Shrug!

It could be the "filler" in a thriller, filler, spiller combo. The color would look really gorgeous & pop against a plant with dark foliage (maroon, burgundy, etc.)

Another option, if there are at least 3 plants in that one pot you could divide them and make them part of a mixed hanging basket.

Also, many "houseplants" make great summertime outdoor container plants for shady to partly shady spots. Maybe pair it with some Dragonwing Begonias, Coleus, or a fern of some sort. You'd want to do some research to see what would make for suitable companions but there should be lots of fun possibilities!

If you recently purchased it from a big box store, there is also the option of...returning it & getting your $ back! Hilarious!

I would buy another plant, one with variegated leaves so my eyes won't feel dull looking at just a solid green. Smiling

I think part of the problem is that the pot it's in is too close in color to the leaves of the plant. Not enough contrast. But my first thought also was to replant it with some nice colorful Coleus. I like the pot, BTW, but I think it would look much nicer with a plant with darker green foliage. Danita made some good suggestions!

I would give the plant to someone who lives in a nursing home. They will enjoy the visit and will remember you each time they look at the plant.

A couple of Caladium bulbs popped into that pot will give you some beautiful colored foliage above the plain green, at least for the summer. Then when they peter out, you can just put in a couple more.

The Coleus would be really pretty too, and there are lots of colorful options there as well.

Wow, thank you everyone, such great ideas!! I agree with woofie that there isn't enough contrast. The real story is that I bought so many plants, I ran out of pots....so it went into the remaining pot. Lol. Danita, love that window box combination! So when weather permits, I'm going to put it outside, split the plant into four, and try mixing it with the burgundy options and bulbs, and hopefully some fern.

This means more shopping....... Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Thank You!
