I loved this plant as soon as I saw it on the cover of Curt's catalog. The middle picture above is from my yard. I have a nice clump of it now, and it really is spectacular. Have not used it heavily with my seedlings, but will this season.

I just got this from Curt last year as a bonus plant so I can not add anything to this, but that I am really looking forward to seeing it in clump form.

COBRASKIN NECKTIE is a wonderful plant. I knew I had to have it when I saw it in Curt's catalog. The pattern in the throat is consistent. I have a small clump of 5 fans and can't wait to see it bloom this year.

Cobraskin Necktie has been in my garden for three growing seasons. I delayed commenting until this year as it took time to settle in and produce blooms. 2018 was a good year for it. It is hardy here, grew to 34" height of scapes, bloomed from July 20 until Sept. 18 with a bud count of 9 on 3 way branching. It does not produce masses of blooms at one time but two or three at one time over an extended time. I like this trait in my garden.

I planted CN in May of 2021. It was gone by August, one of the few I lost that summer, as it was rainy and cool, good for establishing plants. Not sure what happened, it could be too shady in that spot. I've got another cv there now, so we'll see how it does…
