You list is very similar to mine! (I have a dog theme area, too, but it's based off of the names of my dogs...I have two 'Ginger Twist' and 'Ginger Cookie' for my dog, Ginger; I have 'Crazy Miss Daisy' for my other dog, and I've been trying to add more for 'Daisy', but haven't found any yet.)

I've always wanted a "Zoo" bed with the different animal named daylilies, maybe someday.

Valerie and NancyB. Unfortunately when we moved the raccoons got into all of the pots and I lost a lot of markers. Most of the daylilies were not marked and I am missing a lot of names. If anyone can identify them I would appreciate it.

Unfortunately I can't buy DL's in the USA, and a lot of cultivars are not available here in Europe.
But still, there are probably more than I have room for in my new allotment

Oh, Mayo, I'm sorry. I forgot about the international thing. Bummer. Hmm....You could always take a trip to the US and smuggle some back, LoL! Just kidding. There are some DL sellers that will ship internationally with phyto certificates, but is your country more particular about not importing American plants, do you know? It might come down to how badly you want certain cultivars, it could get quite pricey.

CT will ship Internationally with a $25 phytosanitary certificate fee and minimum $250 order. Might be worth some time to research other U.S. vendors shipping to Europe to see if there are any with a lower minimum purchase.

DnDL and Debra,

the problem isn't the Phyto, but the inspection on this side of the ocean

I would have to pay for the inspection of all plants and as soon as there is the slightest suspicion all plants are destroyed ...

I'm not risking my money nor any beautifull DL's!

I Don't have theme gardens, but have DL's for my family

Flycatcher X Heavenly Curls is for my youngest daughter. She runs around with a fly swatter and her natural curls are so heavenly that God had some left over to give to *me*, after she was born! Also Wild and Wonderful





Electric Lizard and Arachnidan Trap are for our eldest daughter. We have two children and they are polar opposites I told her that when she is living on her own, I won't set foot in her house if such creatures are running amuck! My specimens haven't bloomed yet. Electric Lizard probably won't for two years, but Arachnidan Trap has a (short) scape for my FFE

Zoro's Blade and Mystic Pizza are for my husband. Pizza is a staple for him. He argues that it has all four food groups. Never mind the grease! He loves red. Mystic Pizza may not bloom til next year.

I don't have mine pulled together for a theme but I have enough to have a
Biblical bed, many of Carol Emmerich names would work well. Today, Rock of Salvation is blooming!


I could also do a theme about Sci Fi

Another bed could be the titles of songs.

One friend has a bed with a horse theme. She got Hold Your Horses and Wild Horses from me.
