Saw this plant in a commercial and snagged a few pics. Its a large shrub or perennial that has long stems with lavender looking flowers at the end of them.

Maybe Rose Of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus)? My grandmother called them 'Althea'. That's my best guess. Good luck!

Hard to tell for sure but I think Roses of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus) comes close too.
