Background history:

'Bark at Me' is a semi-evergreen diploid introduced in 1999 by Ned Roberts. Ned did his hybridizing with some well-known hybridizers. He passed away in 2006.

With a name like that, I did not know what to expect so I was pleasantly surprised the first time it bloomed.
"Bark at Me" does well in Northern KY and I love the way it twists and curls.
Medium growth rate and looks great as a clump, blooms well above the foliage.
Fertile both ways... reminds me I have some seeds from it I need to start.

Bark at Me does well here in zone 6b south central Kentucky. It is not a fast increaser but it is very hardy. The petals droop and curl always giving the impression of motion.

This was the first year for Bark at me, here I'm southern Ky. It did very well, no increase yet, but it bloomed well to be a 1st year plant. We had an odd spring here, very warm March followed by record cold April. Many plants did not do well, but this one came through fine.
