Up until now, all of my semp flowers have been shades of pink. This is the first bloom on my S. tectorum 'Pyrenaicum' and the outer flower petals are green. Very unusual and pretty!

That is gorgeous Chris. Is it the first time that variety has bloomed for you? Don't forget to update the date base with bloom time, picture and whatever else might need updating with the new info.
Wow, that is so pretty I have to keep going back to look at it. Can you do a close up of just one of the flowers? Would love to see what it looks like in more detail.

This is a new one from North Hills I just got this spring. Luckily I got some chicks with it too. Yup, I'll put on the database and will get a close up picture too.

Don't be surprised if you see white or yellow flowers on some Sempervivum, although that is normally the color of the Jovibarba's and rare for the Sempervivum. I have also seen some purple petals on some Sempervivum as well. Seems like there is always something new going on, don't you think so?

You're right Twit. These plants are so amazing! I have so many that are about to bloom right now too.

I love the hairy petals on them! Will post these pics to the database this weekend.

My first bloom from S. 'Purdy's Big Red'. The petals are mostly white with a blush of pink at the base of each petal. This one makes a huge bloom stalk.

Great detail on the picture Lynn. I just love the different colors of semp flowers. The flowers are one of those things that need to be appreciated close up.

I need to get a better photo angle like you above photo Chris. I love that more face on so you can see all the center parts.
When I get back home I will try to remember to do that.
