I've enjoyed seeing what everyone has going and growing right now. I've not had much time for my garden yet this year. The best thing I have right now is the Wisteria I banished from my fruit tree area. I underestimated it's voracious appetite for spreading and multiplying, but I used that attribute to get it to clothe an old utility pole that serviced a greenhouse I took down a couple of years ago. It is in an out of the way area where I plunk down things I'm experimenting with or holding to put somewhere else, so I'm not so afraid of it's stealthy encroachment.

I pruned it into a tree and added a Campsis companion so that in summer the flower display is red. The hummingbirds loved it last year.

I agree I think your giving it it's own pole to climb is a great idea, with no threat of it strangling a tree as it grows. Thumbs up
