i have several variegated plants that throw white leaves periodically.
My Algerian Ivy has one branch that is ultra slow growing and always has only white leaves on it.


my Spathiphyllum 'Domino' occasionally has some. they don't last long and usually brown at the edges. I tried to separate crowns with more white patches, but they eventually declined or morphed into normal all over variegation.


and finally my Syngonium 'Emerald gem' has some too, but the white ones also decline fast and brown at the edges. the half-white ones hold ok. It needs partial sun to produce more of them.

Variegated Plectranthus amboinicus is throwing out a branch with some white leaves.

I get a lot of white leaves on this cactus. Unlike most white leaved plants, these slowly turn green in time. Still having the variegated signs. There is a all yellow cult. that stays yellow. Was offered one but turned it down. Sorry now that I did.

Quick tour outside after watering. What I like is that the stems and not just the leaves are painted white. Gene

Tiffany, I would guess it is a large leafed variegated Cuban Oregano?

I don't know about the leaf size, it's the only P. amboinicus I've had (recently enough to remember anyway...) The mama plant, yes, variegated. That's what caught my eye about it at time of purchase a few years ago:

Mindi, do tell everyone that you now own 2 cutting from this plant.

Blooming for me the first time. Notice some all white or light yellow segments. In time they get green variegation in them. Never notice any to stay all light yellow.
