on the add a plant..

I always have the common name and today I have the tag
but I can not fill in the blanks totally to make it download my plant..

It is a Belleza compact Light Pink Guara
on the tag it has
guara lindheimeri

As it grows I can add a much prettier picture of it in bloom..

so what am I missing to be able to fill in the blanks and then post the pictures?

First, Guara is now considers Oenothera. There is a Oenothera Dark Pink listed in the data base. You can look at it to see how to enter the name in the correct location.

Sheri, your first problem is that you're misspelling Gaura. It's not "Guara." If you had searched for it with the correct spelling, you would have found that the 'Early Pink' cultivar is also sold as 'Compact Light Pink.'

Generally speaking, how does one add a new plant (assuming having done due diligence, etc.)?

Begin by going to the home page of the database by clicking on the "Plant Database" link at the top of the blue box on the left-hand side of any page of our site. Then click on "Add a new plant to the database." Fill out the form, submit the proposal, and wait for it to be approved or declined.
