Need some ideas for evergreen trees and shrubs, as well as perennials and annuals. Drought tolerant, more or less.

Welcome to ATP! Welcome!

I would look at all the spruces (Picea). I love them and they come in every shape, size and color.

Look for plants that are considered Alpine - they thrive on the cold and come back bigger and better than ever in the spring.

I found this list that might help you.

I have a lot of the plants on their list in my yard. I would have added daffodils, tulips and Pasque flowers, maybe Fritillaria. I would not have thought dogwoods would be on the list (they survive in Reno in sheltered locations between buildings on campus at UNR but I have never seen one in a garden). Also, if you decide to plant roses, find some that are self-rooted. Grafted roses only last a couple years around here.

Thank you Daisy! This is a rental home in Chelan so we don't live there and I need low maintenance things. This list is very helpful!
