I have had a few gardenias in my garden for that have had light green flower buds on them for probably 3 mons now but just don't open and actually flower. Is this normal? Are they just waiting for the right temp/light cycle?

Needs only 4 hrs. sun. they do love moisture, mist they everytime you pass them by.
