Yes, especially if it's Genesee Cream Ale (a product from Jo's area).

Beer is for drinking. Period. Though I recall as a teenager it was rather popular for us gals to wash our hair with it.

O M G I remember it too. I was a blond and we rinsed our hair with lemon juice.

We do hae a brewery here and the garden centers who carried compost used to get hops castings and mushroom castings plus other stuff and develope "supersoil" It made great compost.
I asked about supersoil 2 years ago and the garden center said there wasnt any hops castings anymore. I guess the garden centers use what ever they can get.

The garden guy is finished with the compost spreading. We used 1/4 of the pile. DD and SIL will use some on DD's gardens and we will store the rest. Next time I wont assume the garden guy know what he's talking about and only order 1 load.
Neither of us knew what volume a "load " was. I believe its about 5 yards.

Yup, eggs too. I never used the lemon juice as I never wanted to be blonde. I think everyone in my class wanted to be blonde, and boy, did some of them look silly.

Jo, your gardens are going to be beautifuler next spring. (Notice the er). Good you didn't get anything with the mushroom compost in it, it's very high ph, they lime it for the shrooms, and in your garden that would not be good.

Thanks Polly I know nothing about soil ph. DD does tho and seems to divine how much of any ing. is needed.

There was a big downside to being blonde in the 40's and 50's and 60's. We were considered dumb. That was a hard issue to overcome on a personal level.
Guess I proved the social stigma wrong when I negotiated a divorce that gave me everything Ha Ha Ha Ha.
