Just now I'm on my Facebook and the banner on the right hand is showing "Ebay 'Inspired?'Take another look" and it is using the semp pictures for this woman's items and the one is for the 'Black Prince' showing the echevaria pics...anyway odd how I wouldn't have even noticed if I hadn't been reading this thread!

I go and clear my history on a regular basis; browsing, search and cache.

I know there are watermark programs available but haven't checked into it yet. Most of my pics are for ATP - can a watermark feature be added here - the kind that ghosts mid picture - rather than just the copyright one at the bottom?

I often leave my ATP pictures as uncopyrighted public domain whatever. I'm wondering about that now.

What worries me Tim is that she uses the photos and we don't even know if she has the correct semp to go with the photos she is using.

Sue, I use the ATP copyright watermark feature - but this only prints at the bottom. There are ones that leave a faint image across the middle. Of course, that would take away from our viewing pleasure so maybe not worth it. I know our photos are on Pinterest - and after that they probably go anywhere.

Patty, check your preferences again, it's called 'large graphical watermark' and it imprints 'All things Plants'. I just opted in to it and here is the one I just uploaded.

My favorite was when Clint had an Aprils Fools article about a blue echinacea and a photo shopped picture of a bright blue flower in no time at all his picture was on ebay and someone was selling seeds to a plant that did not exist. When I find the time I guess I will have to start checking out pics on ebay.

Okay, now I see there are others on Ebay using the same photos that belong to others.

Eek, it's out of control and hard to police...

People have pulled photos out of my iris book to sell too. I KNOW they don't have those plants because all of it is right in my yard!! Let's face it there are all sorts of scum who think they can make a buck off an unsuspecting buyer. I feel sorry for the buyer as they are expecting the real McCoy and get nothing like it.

My worst was a picture of some really unusual English bulbous irises and a price that might be appropriate for such nice ones. Of course when i bought them the bulbs arrived and were smallish but when they bloomed they were really poor examples of Iris reticulata. I pulled them up as soon as I saw what they were. I have nice reticulatas. Anyway I never got the English irises and of course the "nursery" that was selling them never responded to my correspondence. NEVER AGAIN!
