I look forward to seeing this plant bloom every year. Even with the heavy rains and strong winds the blooms have somehow managed to still put on a show. Photo taken from my back deck.

People try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved

That's so pretty! I have that one, but mine is kind of scraggly looking. Is it in part shade?

Kabby, I have never noticed any fragrance.
poisondartfrog, mine is planted under large oak tree, so it gets way too much shade.

It can take the place of a peony...without having to stake it or pull it up out of the mud after the first heavy rain

I have been wanting one of those forever, but can't seem to find it locally. One year, I bought a viburnum that I was told was the Snowball bush. It turned out to be a Double file Viburnum, which is more like a tree. The flowers don't really form a ball shaped cluster either.
