Decorating Your Garden Room

To hang a decorative drape (or banner) without a hammer and nails or screws: purchase two "S" hooks, hang those from the ramada ceiling or overhang slats equidistant to the length of the drapery rod, feed your drapery grommets or loops through an outdoor drapery rod (a sturdy shower curtain rod works), and place the rod ends through the bottom S on the hook.

Super idea! I have one on cable wire here, but I like your idea for the lake house where we don't have a place to securely attach a rod!
Thanks for sharing a good tip.

Necessity is the Mother of Invention.... for some reason I just really don't like hammering nails and screws into / onto my house.

Glad it's a useful tip. Hey, They All Are!

Great idea, especially for times of high winds and such so you can easily take it down and put it back up when the winds/storms are over. I used to have bamboo hangies on my deck but they never lasted long in a good windstorm. This way I could take them down right quick, eh?

I'm working on another "tip" or application for this concept. Just wanted to share that HD in my area doesn't carry an "S" hook that is wide enough to hang on a 2 inch square wooden member on a trellis, or a 2x6 (what I'm working with). Lowe's DOES carry an "S" hook that can hang from that size member.

I have always found those hooks with/near the birdhouses and feeders.
