'Stained Glass' is a medium-sized sport fro 'Guacamole'. It has bright gold-centred foliage all season. Dark green margin. Prominent veins in the leaves give them the appearance of stained glass windows. It was the 2006 Hosta of the Year. I've had mine since spring 2004, but for a few years I had it in a place which was too dark. It's done better since I moved it. In 2015, mine did not bloom but it usually has a late season bloom. Please feel free to post your pictures of this hosta.

Aug. 31 - more slug damage than usual. I was away for 2 weeks in July and they got the upper hand.

This is another one I have, and really like, although it seems to vary in performance from year to year. Perhaps I should try it in a sunnier spot?

It's well worth trying in a sunnier spot. I hope it works for you.

Stained Glass is a very pretty Hosta. Here's mine in my new Hosta bed from 2015. Anxious to see how they have done over their first winter. Too early for any growth here.

I'm not yet seeing growth in most places here in Ottawa either.

This was another late season purchase last yr. I came home and had to rush DH to the hospital. I drove around with it and several other late season sale hostas.

It bloomed in the car and I tell you the flowers are gorgeous and the fragrance is out of this world. Because of that it has been added to my perennial patio pot planting. I want it close beside me on the patio.
