Salmon Dream color is so exquisite, now I have to work myself to death thinking whether I should go for it this year or next. Hilarious!

Roselette ready to burst open. Should have full blossoms by the end of this week.

I can definitely see the difference in the leaves in the side by side comparison of Oukan and High Noon. Here is my latest arrival. A hybrid TP from TreePeonyGarden 3 years ago. It resembles Snow Lotus and has the most exquisite smell of any of my peonies.

Here is a picture of my latest $25 bargain from last fall labeled simply "dark red."

Thumb of 2016-04-19/graycrna4u/996980

It isn't dark red to me. It is bright red but when you look into the flower, it has some maroon in the center around the yellow. It is first spring in the ground, about 1.5 feet tall, rounded, and has 7 bloom buds. Any guesses?

And last, but not least, my first herbaceous bloom, Macro Phylla, a free bonus gift from TreePeonyGarden 3 years ago.

Thumb of 2016-04-19/graycrna4u/6ed367

Lots more herbaceous coming soon. Enjoy

Beautiful blooms! Makes me wish I lived in a warmer zone! Keep the pics coming so I'm not tempted to look outside at my snow!

I love Macro Phylla. Is it as green as it looks - the bloom not the leaves. Hilarious!
I agree with Liz. Just look at those plants in Salem, Oregon. Huge bloom buds and plants. I am with the person who said her neighbors thought she was nuts bent over taking pictures of dirt, or so they thought. She was really taking pics of tiny peony pips breaking dormancy. Rolling on the floor laughing

Littlebin, I also found your leaf comparison helpful, and not offensive. Thanks for sharing your info. We're all here to help and guide each other.

LG, most of my peonies are in the backyard, so the neighbor's can only see a few of them. Last fall I did plant 4 peonies in the front garden, Scarlet Heaven will hopefully bloom soon.

Alex, I agree, Salmon Dream does have a great color! You should really considered getting one. This was a plant that I saw pics of and wanted for this year, only to realize I've had it since 2011 Whistling

Beautiful blooms gray!

Liz, I heard how much snow you all got on the news! Group hug

Mary, I'm right there with you! The good news is the neighbor's have seen me so many times butt up in the air, or contorted taking pictures, they've become used to it Hilarious!

At least snow in CO this time of the year doesn't stay long at all. Even though it was a foot deep when I drove over it this morning there's only snow left in the shady part of the drive and only a couple of inches are left even there. It'll be slower to melt on the ground, of course, but I think almost all of it will be gone by this weekend. Any left in my garden will be helped along--have to get all of the covers off by Saturday.

Sorry to hear about your snowstorm Liz! I don't envy your weather for sure as beautiful as it looks.

Jerry, can't wait to see a pic of your clump of Roselette smothered with blooms.

Gray, love your Rockii type tree peony. There is something about white against those dark flares that make them so exquisite. Can you describe its smell? Is it spicy, sweet, or fruity?

I second Annette recommendation of Salmon Dream. You will be glad and the envy of neighbors if you have one of this blooming in your yard. Big Grin

Pretty, pretty! My poor, tiny clumps of peonies would be hanging their heads in shame if they weren't already hiding out under the snow and pots, Jerry! Beautiful peony plants! Debra, I thought I was looking at a gardenia at first with your white peony! I miss those, won't grow outside here. Both are really nice!

Beautiful blooms Jerry and Debra!

We hit a whopping 84 degrees today, and the peonies are growing in leaps and bounds! I'll share some pics this week.
