Thread OP

FedEx just delivered my Divine plumeria from Jungle Jacks.
I am concerned that it may have come with mealy bugs. I dabbed the white areas with alcohol but should I do anything else? I am a newbie to plumeria and live in the Phoenix area so this will be an outdoor potted plant.

I don't think the white on the tip are mealy bugs, I think it is just a white sap that dried out. I love my Divine it is a prolific bloomer. I've had mine since 2012, here's the blooms.

I never found bugs on mine but they do get rust.

Hard to tell if they are bugs or sap, as Gigi said. If they move, and you think they are bugs I would notify the seller for sure.

Mary, you will love this one. Mine normally produces 3 tips for every bloom but it is on a small pot I have buds but noticed it stop giving me multiple tips.

Interesting, Gigi. Mine has 3 tips and I love the compact size. The gallon pot is full of roots. Should I give it time to leaf out more before up potting? Confused

Now is a very good time to step up to a bigger pot since the Plumeria are in full-on growing mode.

I agree with Hetty. I have mine in a 5 gallon shallow ceramic pot. Mine stayed 2 and a half feet tall and I've had it for a few years. I do like the compact look so it will stay on this pot for some time.
