I planted a row of sweet peas along the walkway to the back yard and LOVE it. The fragrance is unbelievable. repeat for next year for sure.

Lovely display. How long did they bloom for? Hope you collected seeds!

I think my area is mild enough that I can try some of the winter blooming sweet peas.

This year, I started with a little metal fence. Once they grew past the fence, I added a green plastic mesh and 6' bamboo sticks. I secure the sticks to the house, under the bottom siding. They got hit with hail a few times this year, so not as nice display. I have to remove some of the lily of the valley also. Last year I had a lot more sweet peas planted in that small space. They do smell wonderful when you open the gate or come around the corner of the house

Even a few blooms have such wonderful perfume! That's a great way of supporting them within a fairly narrow space. I don't know if I'd have thought beyond pansies or liriope there! LOL

I have never had much luck with sweet peas. Your plants are beautiful.

I am thinking of starting some in late summer and see if they will overwinter and bloom in early spring.

The kid sowed some striped sweet peas and the 1st one bloomed today.
Last year I had planted/sowed the sweet peas a lot thicker. I liked the display better with more plants

Very pretty!!

BTW, I cracked up when I noticed your "tag" just now... it's been a busy week here, so I can relate!
