for the persimmons. It has been years since I saw one. We used to have a tree close to the house I grew up in.

So nice to see persimmons! I have loved them for years but husband just tried them for the first time this winter. He loves them too!

Not real fond of persimmons but it’s always fun to cut a seed open to get a winter weather prediction (according to folklore anyway) If the kernel is shaped like a spoon (or shovel) it means heavy snow will fall. If shaped like a fork, the snow will be light and powdery. If the kernel is shaped like a knife, you can expect cold cutting winds.
