Can anyone tell me an easy way to decide which box in which to ship? Now I'm weighing the plants and then seeing what box will ship for the least amount. It takes way too much time.

Leslie I only use two sizes, Shoebox for 1-3 plants #7 large box for anything I can't get in a Shoebox.

For some locations ( from here in VA) it pays to "test" the box with weight VS flat rate. This past weekend I had to ship a bunch of boxes to TX, LA and FL. I knew FL would be better with priority mail by weight, but TX and LA can be iffy. However, all were a few dollars cheaper when shipping by weight. These were mainly smaller orders so all except 2 went in the medium priority mail container, 1 went in a shoebox and one in the large priority mail. I use mostly those 3 sizes of boxes. Anything west of the Mississippi it is usually cheaper to use flat rate boxes. And ( it took me a while) I finally wised up and started using click and ship and printing the labels here. That saves a bit, as you likely know.

I love click and ship. I also love that if the customer pays with PayPal there is a link on the transaction to buy and print a mailing label. After shipment you can track the package from a link on the transaction entry as well.

I've only sent DL out three times, so I'm not much help...however it was much cheaper to send by weight on the third one I sent. I finally had someone at the PO that took his time to help me! I love my letter carrier here at my physical address, but had errands to run, so sent these out through the PO. I will have to check on click and ship!
