So has All Things Plants changed over to The National Garden Association overnight? I'm confused...

So, I wonder if we will no longer having a new banner print everyday. I used to look forward to seeing the new picture by our members.

Yes, rather confusing for me too. Thought I had the wrong site for a moment there.
Though I had read about the change, the banner was still a surprise with the name change.

Down at the bottom of my screen it says: Today's site banner is by Paul2032 and is called "Tomatoes, Pears, Apples" so I figured the banners were still going only they have the new logo over them which is somewhat larger than the old ATP logo.

Years and years ago I used to get the National Gardening Association magazine (when it was still in print). I was sad when it discontinued. I am happy to see the association have an online presence....

...but on the other hand, I have gotten used to this place as ATP, to think of it as a very personal place, with online friends, to be. Coming under the National Gardening Association label/umbrella feels like a bucket of ice water being thrown on me.... The site no longer feels personal... Crying

Jmho... ymmv...

So far it's still the same, so I'm sure we'll adapt in time -- I'm already feeling more comfortable than I was a couple of hours ago...

I read through all of their legal verbiage, and hope that going ahead blindly, in faith , and respecting @dave, as he was happy enough to join forces with this organization, that all will be well. I hope we can resume our interactions, and that not too much will change.

Am I naive or too trusting? I hope good sense will prevail, and we'll all come out the other side, smiling. Smiling

I just feel sorry for the four people I had encouraged to join, last week, that this added confusion won't turn them off. Shrug!
Oh well. Whatever will be, will be.
I think we all need a Group hug to see us through!

Don't worry, we didn't join forces with anybody. I obtained the domain name garden.org along with the National Gardening Association name and all that.

This is 100% my project, owned by us and nobody has joined with us. It's still all the same people. Nothing has changed except our name.

No one likes change, it's not in our DNA. Be flexible and patient and all will be good. This will be such a good enhancement to this already great site.

Checked out the extra pages in the left column, listened to the podcast, and yes,
everything is great. Now, I'm so curious as to what comes next with all the ideas
to implement.

Congrats, Trish and Dave on the 3rd adventure of your trilogy.
