I should have pointed out I cleared my history as well. so that could have been it. Maybe you could try that first. Just a thought

That's weird that it doesn't appear to be doing the same for everyone. Something is different, somewhere, if it can be pinpointed. Things like this really aren't random even when they appear to be. I haven't cleared my cookies or history in ages. I'm really lazy about doing that and only will do it when something appears to not be going well with the operation of the desktop. Everything today on my computer is the same as it was yesterday and a good while before then.

Need to add that I set my computer to never save history or cookies.

Also rebooted my computer.... maybe that was the fix.

That was the hardest bug I've had to track down in many months. I finally found what was causing it, and fixed it. Thank you all for your help in reporting this!

Not fair @Dave. You could at least give us a tidbit of what the bug was and your struggle to find it.

It was actually a really long story that involved quite a number of factors. I don't have time to type it out right now but maybe later I will.
