I saw this little one growing in the most odd place. It didn't look like any weed I've ever seen so I dug it up and potted it. I've also never planted it, so I'm not sure what it is. Is it a tulip of some sort?

Looks quite a bit like that! Thank you. I have some other lillies that were from bulbs, so I though it might be something else. I'd be just as pleased with a lilly. I'll take all the free plants I can get Hurray!

I agree with Janet, it is a daylily (Hemerocallis). It's not a "true" lily and despite its common name it isn't even in the same plant family as the true lilies that grow from bulbs (Lilium).
