Where are all the Burseen's??

Today I give you Elvis Dreamer. Man, can this one give you some ugly chimera (as seen on the Super Freak page):

A "Velvet Elvis Iris" ???

I'll have to get a pic of Untamed World tomorrow. Should have got one today. It was (in my Cousin Eddie voice) "really nice."

Pam - there is a Red Velvet Elvis iris.... and a Velvet Elvis! Maybe someone should paint all of them on ... well.... Velvet!

I also just realized that I only have 2 Burseen irises, this and Ty Blue sooooo if anybody needs to divide any of theirs this year...

My only Burseen decided not to bloom this year. Next year. Maybe.

Sounds like Celia needs to add to her collection.... And not all of his are as crazy as a few I am going to be posting!

Now this one is really impressive if you like pom poms. It took a couple of tries to get me the entire bloom.

This chimera version gave me the pom poms and no standards:

I love this one. Purr Form Mints is very tall, with very large blooms. This year I was going to divide, but it looks like most of the increases put up bloom stalks so I will have to see what happens from here. The plus was lots of blooms so I had weeks to enjoy her. Very nice scent too!

Here she is with her sisters Glitter Gulch and Abby and Me. I was happy that their bloom times overlapped.

I'm glad I posted *one* picture of 'Plum Full' in the database. It bloomed earlier and was one of many pictures I lost.. It bloomed heavily for it's first year in the ground, with lots of flowers up and down the stalks..


'Notta Lemon' threw out it's first bloom on Feb 24th.. I got this picture on May 3rd.

'Itsa Whatever' is a bit of a changeling in color...


I'm told this is not registered as a Space Ager... I beg to differ! First blooms were full of horns.

'Judge's Special' was very pretty. I managed to get one last picture at the tail-end of it's bloom.


I'll probably have to wait 'til next year on 'Beth's Blessing', Caribbean Cruise', 'Cow Palace', 'Stolen Identity', & 'Swirling Skirts'.

Sherry - were you surprised by Notta Lemon? I thought it would be a brighter yellow than what mine turned out to be.

My I Wuv Woses looks so different than yours. The poms stayed up with the standards giving it a rose like look. Will post mine soon.

Rick Tasco said that he often has the Burseens bloom heavily their first year and he has some bloom out. I haven't had that happen yet, but Mercy Marci sure needed a year off this year! Others have bloomed heavily every year.
