So yesterday there was a question about Pure Peonies on one of the other threads. That made me think about new places I've ordered from and made me wonder if everyone knew about them or if anyone had any feedback. The new one I ordered from this year is Homestead Farms Nursery, http://www.homesteadfarms.com/ I've looked for peony Kevin for a few years, finally found it at Homestead Farms last fall, but it was the only one out of the inventory I was interested in at the time. I just hate paying shipping that almost equals my plant purchase so I held off. A couple of weeks ago I did the search again and they had added several to the inventory for this fall, yeah! I made my order, impulse buy, hoping for the best. I looked them up afterward in The Green Pages and several people gave good referrals for their daylilies. I'm telling you they have a decent selection with good prices on peonies as well! Haven't received my order, of course, and I'll report back with pics of roots, but thought some of you might be interested in looking!

I know I looked at Birchwood and even put an order together a few times but never finished the order. Looking forward to hearing what you think of them!

Tracey/Magnolialover was just out at Pure Peonies. I have the texts and pictures to prove it. She was teasing me with gorgeous peony pictures the entire time she was there.

Did anyone tried Boreal Farms at SASKATCHEWAN ? I am about to place order ... I know that most will order in US, but just taking an opportunity.

They were amazing. I would be interested in ordering some of the species - fern leafs also. Wonder what their quality is and what the phyto/freight would cost.

I haven't ordered from them, Alex, but after looking at their selections I'd like to! I've had Pink Seafoam on my "Wanted" list for several years and managed to add a couple more to it after seeing their peonies! If you order from them you'll have to let us know how it goes, they claim to send bigger than normal roots.

I met a fellow enthusiast on FB and she ordered her peonies at Oregon Perennials. I understand they are wholesaler but they do retail also. I placed an order from them back in January. I emailed back and forth with the owner to know which ones are available for retail. The divisions they sent to my FB friend are fantastic.

The Denmark one is too expensive for me beacause of Phyto, frieght and currency exchange. But they do have many of the species peonies.

They are good but tend to sell out early. Website not super up to date. Reliable for cultivar.
